The fourth season of Riot Volleyball Club again had enough interest from local athletes to have two teams.  Some of the original girls were still with the club, and our 17U team saw a coaching change for the first time.  Corey took a well-deserved break, and made room for new head coach, Toni Bussche and Assistant Coach Rodger Allain.

With quite a few new girls coming on, the team had a slower start, finishing in 15th place in Premier 1, and 18th place in Premier 2.  The girls found their stride in Premier 3 and moved up to an 11th place finish, and then completed the season at Provincials in a respectable 9th place.  This team went to Nationals this year, and after some nervous first games, were only one win away from a medal match in Tier 5.

Our 15U Team once again acquired new coaches in Dylan Dehek and Keanna Eastman, and our young group of athletes flourished under their coaching.  In Premier 1 they finished in 10th place in Blue Division, which seeded them into Division 4 for Premier 2.  That is where the girls really started to mesh as a team, and they finished Premier 2 in 3rd place with a bronze medal!  Premier 3 was their first experience up in Division 3, and they learned a lot while finishing tied for 15th place.  Back to Division 4 for Provincials, the team did not let that shake their confidence, and they finished Provincials in 2nd place with a silver medal!  Volleyball Alberta named the Team All Stars as Kendall Prokuda, and Shaelyn Morrill.
